Indiana Forest Engagement Session | Michelle Christine Photography
Imagining walks in the woods with your significant other is very dreamy. For this couple, their photographer Michelle, got to join in and have a fun tromp around in the woods. The landscape makes us want to find our nearest state park and head out!
Here is what she had to say:
"Remus and Cierra got engaged in 2016. Remus sent Cierra on a scavenger hunt which ultimately ended in the proposal! When they contacted me for an engagement session, I was thrilled! We scheduled our session for Thanksgiving morning in the Morgan-Monroe Forest. Our session involved a lot of driving until we saw a place we liked, which also led to a lot of startled jumps when I'd yell out in excitement about a beautiful area. Cierra and Remus are a beautiful, fun-loving couple and photographing them was the perfect end to the fall season. We were cold, but it doesn't show!
This engagement session took place in three different settings. The first (and my favorite) was a random dock we found while driving around. The weather was so hazy, the water was blue, and the Tumi Alpaca Wool blanket just made everything so much more cozy! I wrapped them up in the blanket and had them start interacting with each other. There were lots of laughs to be had!
The second location was the one I had been keeping an eye out for - a path in the middle of the forest! I think we may have actually been trespassing in someone's driveway, but we took a chance for the sake of art. I had them start out just walking, but didn't love how that was looking. I quickly changed course and had them interact playfully. This involved a lot of tickling, pushing, and, of course, laughter! As we were wrapping up in this setting, a kind lady drove down the long path. Thankfully she didn't seem to mind that we were using her driveway for photos!
The last location was an overgrown field. In this last location I decided to free-lens a bit for some extra magic. The field had lots of warm colors which just added to the warmth radiating from these two. I ended the session very excited for these photos, but also for Thanksgiving meals which was what was waiting for us the rest of the day. This is probably my favorite engagement session yet!"
