Classic Pin Up Look with a Momma Twist in Yuma | Gabi Marshall Photography

At the end of a session what more could you ask for but making the person on the other side of the lens feel beautiful and self confident? That is exactly what Gabi does here. The story is so awesome and the pin-up look is definitely back for some fun!

Here is what she had to say:

"I've always been in awe over the pin-up look. I mean, who wouldn't be? From the petticoats, to the pin curls and victory rolls, it's all amazing to me. I had the idea of putting together a pin-up style shoot for some time, and after meeting Cassidy, I knew she'd be a perfect fit for it. She is a client of mine that I had recently done a family and breastfeeding session for. Cassidy and her family were such fun during our previous session, that I knew she'd be a great model for this shoot. Personally, I'd love to be able to pull off the look 24/7, but that's why my job can be so fun!

Cassidy and I went through all of my ideas and wardrobe options together prior to shooting. I knew I'd be doing her hair and make-up, so I wanted her to see some examples.Everything was set and all we needed to do was shoot. A few days before the session, she sent me a message asking if we could take a few shots of her breastfeeding her son in a Rosie the Riveter pose. I about died! I mean, come on, what better way to show off your Super Mom powers than posing like an American icon while nourishing your child? "We can do it!" is absolutely correct!

Let me give you a little back story on Cassidy. She is a mom of two handsome boys, and is a big supporter of normalizing breastfeeding. Ryker, her oldest, was breast fed until he was 2 years old. Talk about awesome, right? Her baby, Thoren is 6 months old and is exclusively breastfed. In her words, she makes some super milk because he's a whooping 19 lbs! He's a little hunk, and she was very thankful that I captured the bond between her and her baby.

Cassidy told me she has never really considered doing any sort of modeling because of self esteem and anxiety issues. However, I was so happy that she stepped out of her comfort zone to do this shoot with me. When she saw the finished photographs, she loved them! They gave her a huge confidence boost and made her feel awesome about herself. Things like that make my job very rewarding.

As far as how I felt about the session, being able to put together such a fun shoot was amazing. I was able to do her hair and make-up, turning her into a total bombshell. Being able to capture her beauty, as well as watching the bond she has with her boys, is what makes me love what I do. I am so lucky to be able to show others my vision. Photography is my outlet and I love every minute of it.. I wouldn't be who I am without amazing models like Cassidy, and clients who put their trust in me to capture their most cherished moments in life."

My name is Gabriela Marshall, but I go by Gabi and I have been a professional photographer since 2012. I owned my own boutique and that required me to take photos of my products, the love grew from there and I have yet to put the camera down. I wouldnโ€™t say I am an ordinary woman, I love piercings and tattoos, I like the out of the norm look. I am a mother to two beautiful boys, Mikey (7) and Hayden (16 months) they keep me on my toes.  My husband Levi is a Marine Corps veteran and I am his caregiver. Iโ€™m also a stay-at-home-Mom, I feel like I have a thousand daily jobs.  Photography has been my outlet, a way to clear my head after a stressful day and see the beauty in the world. Their is nothing like the feeling of getting lost in my sessions.
